Flashback arrestors for use with
corrosive gases
New flashback arrestors from Witt Gas Techniques protect single gas cylinders and pipeline outlet points in high flow applications against dangerous back flow of gas and flashbacks
The RF85-30N-ES and RF85-30N/H-ES units are new flashback arrestors for use with gases such as acetylene, butane, natural and town gas, LPG, hydrogen, ethylene, oxygen and compressed air These two flashback arrestors have been especially designed for use with corrosive gases as used in the chemical industry, process technology applications and in laboratories

Safer welding from Witt Gas Techniques
Standard safety devices such as flashback arrestors, non-return valves and gas cut-off valves may not always provide the optimum protection expected whilst oxy-fuel welding: Witt Gas has a new design
They are also suited for pipeline outlets and single cylinder applications for large gas cutting machines and they can be mounted in any position or orientation.
The RF85-30N/H-ES has a maximum working pressure of 11 bar when using hydrogen, whilst the RF85-30N-ES has a maximum working pressure of 30bar when used with oxygen or compressed air.
Features of these flashback arrestors include a large surface area stainless steel flame arrestor extinguishing any flashback entering the device from any direction, whilst a temperature sensitive cut-off valve extinguishes sustained flashbacks before the internal temperature reaches a critical point.
A spring loaded non-return valve prevents any slow or sudden back flow of gas forming an explosive mixture in the gas supply and a filter at the gas inlet protects the arrestor from any dirt contamination.
Only one piece of equipment should be attached to any one Flashback arrestor and all Witt Flashback arrestors are individually tested and meet EN 730/ISO5175-1, whilst parent company Witt Gas Technik is company certified to ISO 9001:2000 as well as ISO 14001 and are CE marked to PED 97/23/EG.
