The WLC is a new all-in-one M2M device enabling wireless communication, monitoring and control for enterprise automation, featuring remote Over-The-Air Soft Logic user programmability

Elutions, the premier provider of wireless enterprise automation solutions, has announced the worldwide launch of its new WLC The Wireless Logic Controller is a universal control platform that simplifies the integration and development of automation systems and extends enterprise control solutions with leading-edge technology and end-to-end solutions composed of hardware, user programmable IEC 61131-3 standards-based middleware, and end-user data communications

The WLC combines user programmability using WizPLC CoDeSysu, a cellular data modem, security protocols and data encryption, a variety of on-board connectivity and optional I/O extensions, data logging, backup battery system, all in an extendable modular design.

Using the WLC, development, monitoring and control is made easier through the use of integrated cellular communications, industrial hardened I/Os, and standard fixed-wire networks integrated into one rugged design.

The WLC is the world's first all-in-one wireless logic controller with remote over-the-air configuration.

The WLC sets itself apart from other PLCs and RTUs with a clearly superior set of innovative, ground-breaking features.

It offers wireless communication (on GSM/GPRS, CDMA or iDEN networks for use anywhere in the world) for backhaul of information to the enterprise system, an integrated web server for remote access and configuration, and an embedded softlogic engine with normalised CoDeSys software for local control using the six IEC 61131-3 languages.

The WLC not only features local programming with laptop and USB connection, but also a unique over-the-air function for remote configuration and set up using a wireless web browser based utility.

The WLC is an enabling part of the company's integrated solution offerings, for energy efficiency, asset management or process control.

The WLC has been engineered from the ground up with:.

* Embedded features for energy control with AEM.

* Embedded features for asset management with ALERT.

* Embedded features for facility management with Wizcon.

* Wireless Wizcon.

The WLC shares the same Development Studio with Wizcon, which not only greatly simplifies the development of process control applications, but also allows full integration of the complete local control and remote web-enabled supervision, with a complete end-to-end solution from one single supplier.

This greatly reduces the risk of programming errors and drastically cuts development time.

The WLC extends the Wizcon supervisory capabilities with wireless communication, and a PLC that is programmable, remotely, using WizPLC CoDeSys, one of the many tools of the Wizcon Supervisor software suite.

There are several additional customer benefits for Wizcon users: * Native integration with Wizcon.

* One supplier (end-to-end solution) with worldwide market presence (distributors).

* Over-the-air configuration and data transfer.

* Program upload/download function.

* Enables remote asset management.

* Enables high-availability applications with secure redundancy between local and supervisory control.

The WLC is available from Elutions and authorised distributors worldwide.

Elutions is also looking for some further additional distributors in several territories worldwide.
