Breathing air purifier for harsh environments
Willpower Breathing Air Ltd launches a new stainless steel Niltox compressed air purifier for breathing: the equipment is self contained, fully automatic and both self monitoring and reactivating
Willpower Breathing Air Ltd is launching a new stainless steel Niltox compressed air purifier for breathing.
The new model is designed for up to three mask users and is suitable for operation in harsh or extreme environments such as the marine or offshore industries, or wherever a more robust system is required, including the hire market.
The new stainless steel compressed air unit provides an effective purifier at point of use for applications up to 540 litres/min.
The equipment is self contained, fully automatic and both self monitoring and reactivating.
The units include a low air pressure alarm and an hours run meter, both totally pneumatic in operation.
COSHH and European PPE directives call for monthly air purity test procedures that are both time consuming and costly, and which ultimately only identify problems rather than solve them.
However, following proper installation and maintenance of a Niltox purifier, the contamination risks are controlled, eliminating the need for monthly checks, with only annual tests being recommended.
Niltox high performance compressed air purifiers are designed to provide safe, breathing quality air for working environments, offering an easy, efficient and low cost method of meeting standards such as BS4275, EN12021, EH 40 and HSG53 as required by COSHH.
They not only remove carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, but also oil, water, dirt, bacteria, odour, taste, dust, smoke and nitrous gases.
But most important of all, they remove both risk and doubt, offering pure air and peace of mind for managers and mask users alike.
Many companies may not be aware of the risks associated with plugging directly into a compressed air system as a source for breathing air.
Toxic contamination from carbon monoxide or carbon dioxide poses many dangers, and relying on a simple filter may give the mistaken impression of providing good quality air to breathe.
Although a filter will not be able to remove carbon monoxide, it can eliminate the odours that would otherwise highlight its presence and so not expose the inherent dangers.
The Niltox range of purifiers are designed with ease of use and maintenance in mind.
All active materials are securely packed in transparent multi-stage sealed cartridges.
All stages are reactivated during the purge cycle, which maximises efficiency throughout cartridge life.
Every Niltox cartridge also contains a unique colour change strip that is visible at all times through the clear walled housings.
A simple memorable formula for users means that 'Blue is New' and 'Pink is Extinct'.
Each cartridge is fully self-contained and can be easily replaced with no special training, skills or tools being required.
