The Wolf Safety Lamp Company and Lyon Equipment are co-operating to promote the Petzl Duo Atex rechargeable head/helmet lamp into the UK, European and International hazardous areas

The Wolf Safety Lamp Company of Sheffield and Lyon Equipment of Cumbria are co-operating to promote the Petzl Duo Atex rechargeable head/helmet lamp into the UK, European and International hazardous area markets Wolf see the Duo Atex E61L5, with its switchable LED and conventional incandescent bulb dual system, as the best rechargeable lamp available, certified to conform to the new ATEX Equipment Directive for safe use in potentially explosive atmospheres

The product enclosure makes extensive use of high impact durable polycarbonate, and is weatherproof sealed.

Output duration is 3.5 hours from the 6V incandescent bulb with zoom feature OR in excess of 12 hours (at maximum intensity) in the switch-over LED mode, more suited to close-quarter tasks.

The manufacturers quote a life expectancy of 10 years and the rechargeable battery offers 1,000 recharge cycles.

Important applications are seen in engineering inspection and maintenance activities within the oil, petrochemical, marine, offshore, and processing industries.
