London Fire Brigade uses Wolf ATEX Safety Torches
This range of six ATEX-compliant torch models from Wolf Safety have proved their reliability and value for money in a host of hazardous areas, and are now chosen by the London Fire Brigade
London Fire Brigade [LFB] is the latest brigade to select Wolf ATEX Safety Torches for its fire fighters.
Launched only 18 months ago, this range has now been sold to more than half the major UK fire brigades who use primary cell safety hand torches.
Other brigades already using these torches include Somerset, Devon, Northern Ireland and Lancashire.
Prior to its selection, the Wolf ATEX TR-24+ torch, along with a number of other competitive products, had undergone a rigorous user evaluation at a number of fire stations.
Gary Hopkins from the LFB Research and Development Group commented, "Our evaluation report identified that the TR-24+ torch is a high quality, user-friendly product, easy to switch and particularly resistant to damage".
He went on the say, "The quality of the beam from this model was judged to have performed the best in a variety of smoke density trials".
The Wolf Safety torch offers significantly greater environmental advantages over the current torch.
The unique low battery indicator of the TR-24+ ATEX Safety Torch not only maximises fire fighter safety by indicating how much power is left, but also proves a very practical method of preventing batteries being discarded needlessly.
Use of two Approved LR20 high capacity alkaline cells also provides longer duration with consequent fewer battery replacements.
Instantly recognisable in yellow, the colour traditionally synonymous with safety torches, this range of six ATEX-compliant torch models from Wolf Safety have proved their reliability and value for money in a host of hazardous areas.
