ATEX Equipment Category 1 specification means that uniquely, this new hands-free headtorch HT-200 can be used safely - even in Zone 'O' Hazardous Areas - without any risk to plant or personnel.

Recognised as an indispensable item of emergency rescue equipment, Tokyo Fire department has seen fit to provide the headtorch to earthquake disaster and Civil Defence teams with the confidence that it will more than match the most demanding circumstances.

Other applications include the gas, marine, aircraft, and petrochemical industries for inspections and technical work tasks.

Additional IECEx approvals expand the ATEX European scope of supply from such countries as Norway, Germany, Portugal and Spain to the more distant markets of South Africa and Australia, as well as Japan.

Powered by three alkaline cells, the Wolf HT-200 offers a light duration of 50 hours using all seven LEDs, providing a wide-angle beam of light that is rated at 114 lux at a distance of one metre.

Its safety, reliability and minimal maintenance is due to the 'everlasting' LED cluster light-source, operated by a rubber push button to select variable light levels from three, five or seven LEDs.
