CSL selects Primus C90s to aid polymer moulding

A Wittmann Battenfeld product story

Moulding company Cranfield Solutions (CSL) has ordered five Primus C90 temperature-control units from Wittmann Battenfeld (WIBA).

CSL is currently completing a 14-tool proving and production programme for one of its blue-chip customers and the Primus controllers will play their part in fulfilling the order.

'The Primus 90 is compact with a good footprint, while providing a good balance of heating and cooling capacity.

'The Primus manuals are also clear and detailed,' said David Oakley, managing director of CSL.

CSL supplies parts and provides moulding advice and expertise.

It processes PEEK, PEI, LCP and most engineering polymers.

These materials often need the most accurate tool-temperature control in order to guarantee quality parts.

'We have therefore chosen Wittmann and Primus to provide this,' added Oakley.
