The WWEM 2006 Conference, Exhibition and Workshops on water, wastewater and environmental monitoring will take place on 1st and 2nd November 2006 at the Telford International Centre

WWEM 2006 is set to be another success The event will be ideal for all companies involved with the monitoring of flow in water/wastewater

Due to the success of this years event, WWEM 2006 has moved to the larger exhibition venue of Telford International Centre.

WWEM 2006 will again be formatted as a conference, exhibition and workshops for Water, Wastewater and Environmental Monitoring and will be organised with SWIG and the Environment Agency who will be supporting the event and arranging the conference topics.

Presentations at WWEM will include such topics as the Environment Agency Modernising Regulations Agenda and MCERTS for continuous water monitors, wastewater samplers and for the self-monitoring of effluent flow.

Looking forward to WWEM 2006, John Tipping who manages MCERTS for the Environment Agency, says "I congratulate those organisations that already have MCERTS certificates and I am delighted that a large number of companies have applications underway.

WWEM looks set to become a major event in the water calendar".

Bob Cooper from SIRA, which is the body appointed by the Agency to operate MCERTS, said " around thirty companies are currently going through the process of applying for MCERTS certification for their water monitoring products.

Initially, many companies start by only applying for MCERTS on their flagship products, but once they are able to see how easy and cost-effective it is, and how users are demanding MCERTS certification, they come rushing back to certify more of their product range.

Companies who don't get certification are at risk of having their products washed away by those that do.

Water Companies and PPC operators recognise MCERTS as a badge of quality and they know that it is here to stay".

Organisations wishing to exhibit should contact Marcus Pattison at WWEM.

This year the entrance to the Exhibition and Exhibitor Workshops will be free, which will again increase numbers of visitors to the event.

Entrance to the conference will remain at GBP50 per head per day for delegates.

Car parking, lunches, refreshments will, as with the last event, be free to all visitors/delegates to WWEM.

All workshops and conference sessions will be under one roof on one floor, mixed evenly throughout the hall which will keep visitors in one place and allow freedom of movement to all stands (please go to the website to see a floor plan).

Our mailing, advertising and ticketing campaigns will not only target the water authorities/industries as in 2005, but will now focus on a wider audience to include power, chemicals, petrochemicals, food and beverage and manufacturing industries, which will mean a larger and more varied and interesting audience.

From its launch two weeks ago, over 30% of stand space has been reserved.
