New catalogue for ABB Instrumentation Alliance

The programme is open to all graphic arts and printing departments within universities and colleges.
The programme is initially being introduced in the USA.
"Centers of higher education are often ignored by industry associations while in fact educators and students are key to the industry at large," said Skip Henk, EDP, president and CEO of Xplor International: "Our programme will benefit all: Professors will have access to industry leaders and information while students can enhance their traditional education programme with exposure to working professionals and member benefits".
Effective from 20 January 2007, recognized departments within colleges and universities can take advantage of this new membership.
The annual membership dues will be $250 USD and can include up to four professors or teachers and an unlimited number of student members with the approval of their professor.
In addition, an individual or personal educator fee will be $100 USD annually.
The Xplor higher college/university membership programme will provide access to Xplor publications including E-Document News and Xplorer newsletters, webinars and podcasts, research and whitepapers and participation in local chapter and regional events.
Xplor Document University Scholarship.
Xplor will also provide two scholarships to the annual Document University that will include full Platinum Passes, valued at $1475 USD each.
The scholarship will also include airfare and hotel accommodations for four nights.
Scholarship applications must be submitted by the students themselves, with the approval of their professor or teacher and will be evaluated and awarded by the Xplor Conference Planning Committee.
Plans are to expand the number of scholarships as the programme expands.
In the near future, Xplor will be supporting university/college members to form chapters and programme, meeting and networking events.
