Global MAC services agreement with BP
Yokogawa has won a Global Agreement with BP International, one of the world's largest energy companies, to provide MAC Services for the BP Exploration and Production Segment
Yokogawa and BP Announce Global MAC Services Agreement Yokogawa Electric Corporation is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Global Agreement with BP International Limited, one of the world's largest energy companies, to provide Main Automation Contractor Services ("MAC Services") for BP's Exploration and Production Segment Under this arrangement, BP and Yokogawa have committed to achieve mutual success in the provision of MAC (Main Automation Contractor) services by managing their business relationship in an open, performance focused, and collaborative manner with a shared desire to deliver superior long term value

All of these product and service solutions are being provided under the umbrella of the VigilantPlant initiative to realize the Automation Blueprint as part of the Field of the Future distinctive technology programme, achieving significant improvements in operating performance.

This agreement helps pave the way for Yokogawa to become No.1 in the global IA market by 2010," said Teruyoshi Minaki, Director and Executive Vice President of the International Business Headquarters.

We are looking to develop a longer term, more collaborative performance based relationship with Yokogawa to deliver transformational performance" said Neil Shaw, E+P Technology Vice President of Projects and Engineering.
Yokogawa is committed to work with BP to effectively provide the MAC services to optimise their business performance.
