The latest advanced industrial recorder, the uR10000, uses state-of-the-art component, display and communications technologies to offer enhancements in functionality, reliability and ease of use

The Yokogawa uR10000, the latest addition to the Yokoogawa uR series of advanced industrial recorders, uses state-of-the-art component, display and communications technologies to offer enhancements in functionality, reliability and ease of use, while weighing less and consuming less power than earlier models The uR10000 is a family of compact industrial recorders with a recording width of 100 mm

The range consists of 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-pen and 6-dot models, with the pen models having eight channels and the dot model 16 channels.

The universal input supports 35 types of input sensors including all standard types of thermocouple.

The uR10000 large full dot-matrix vacuum fluorescent display dramatically improves the display of measurement data and allows greater flexibility by allowing the combined display of measured numerical values, waveforms and bargraphs.

In addition, the uR10000 has an interactive setup navigation function that greatly simplifies the initial parameter setup procedure for operators.

A high-intensity white LED, coupled with a light-diffusing rod, provides excellent internal illumination and hence enhanced chart readability.

The uR10000 offers a wide choice of recording and printing functions.

Traces can be partially compressed or expanded to record data according to the measurement conditions, and charts can be divided into recording zones to record trends.

It is also possible to print measured data, points of alarm occurrence or cancellation, and messages.

Numerous computation functions are included for data management and analysis, allowing users to carry out real-time computations internally without a PC.

Computed results can be recorded to paper, with measured or computed results assigned to an arbitrary pen for recording.

A new chart cassette arrangement includes a chart-ejection function which allows users to write memos on the chart and check historical trends during recording.

The recorder is fitted with a dust- and splashproof front door which conforms to IP54.

An RS422A/485 serial communications interface allows up to 32 units to be multidrop-connected to a single host computer.

In addition, an optional Ethernet interface allows measured data to be acquired via an Ethernet network.

The recorder command interface allows users to perform configuration and data acquisition remotely from a PC running the Yokogawa DAQWORX integrated data acquisition software package.

Excellent reliability, low power consumption and reduced weight have been achieved through a dramatic reduction in the number of components, the use of advanced moulding technology and the downsizing and integration of mechanical parts such as servomotors.

The pen servo takes advantage of an ultra-small, rack-and-pinion stepping motor.

By eliminating the drive belt, transfer-related loss load is reduced, allowing a smaller servo, and the fact that the motor is controlled digitally yields reductions in power consumption.

The position of the pen is detected by an optical encoder.

All consumables such as pens, cassette ribbons and chart paper are the same as those used in earlier models in Yokogawa uR Series of recorders, so that users are guaranteed backwards compatibility.

The uR10000 is ideally suited to use in manufacturing operations, particularly for the measurement of production process data such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, and chemical composition.

Typical application sectors include power generation, water supply and drainage, petrochemicals, chemicals, steel, pulp and paper, electric and electronic equipment, foods, and pharmaceuticals.
