Yokogawa has announced the award of a contract estimated to be worth more than 60M Euro for a gas renovation project being undertaken by the Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij BV (NAM).
The GE Energy System 1 platform provides similar functionality for the mechanical and thermodynamic health of rotating, reciprocating, and fixed machinery.
Through the use of open standards, the two platforms can exchange a variety of status and diagnostic data, allowing users to monitor and manage the condition of a broader cross-section of plant assets than by using either system individually.
Connectivity to the System 1 platform is particularly important because it is the only software supporting the proprietary communications with the GE industry-leading Bently Nevada line of vibration monitoring and machinery protection systems, used by more than 25,000 customers worldwide.
With more than 3,000 global sites already using the System 1 platform, it is the leading software of its kind and allows customers to more easily combine their installed machinery condition monitoring systems with the Yokogawa PRM system.
