Exaquantum installations pass the 1,000
mark

Quinn Chemicals, a subsidiary of the privately owned Quinn Group, is investing in a new world-scale MMA (methyl methacrylate) monomer production plant at Leuna, near Leipzig, in eastern Germany.
MMA is a basic material used in the production of many plastics.
Production is due to begin in late 2010.
The project is being engineered by the solutions team at Yokogawa Germany and includes the provision of a Yokogawa Centum CS 3000 Distributed Control System (DCS) and Prosafe RS Plant Safety System.
Advanced Process Control and Advanced Operator Assistance packages - ExaPilot, ExaPlog, AAA-Suite and PRM - are also being installed by Yokogawa.
The Exaquantum PIMS family of process products provide the core MES/MIS systems for Yokogawa and includes Exaquantum/Batch, Exaquantum/SER (Sequence of Events Recorder) and Exaspot (Process optimiser).
Nigel Bowden, MD of GMSC says "This order was won in the face of strong competition, by Hans Thomes, the Key Account Manager for IA System Sales in Germany for Yokogawa".
Exaquantum has been chosen time and time again in production plants both large and small.
Many customers have benefitted from the Exaquantum advanced functionality, combined standards based integration, and close coupling with other Yokogawa solution packages.
