In addition to the comprehensive YSI range of handheld, laboratory and remote water quality monitoring instruments, YSI SonTek instruments will also be on show.
The SonTek product line includes acoustic doppler current profilers (ADP, PCADP), velocimeters (ADV, MicroADV, ADVOcean), current meters (Argonaut, FlowTracker, Triton), and Doppler velocity logs (DVL).
These sensors and integrated systems are made for measuring water velocity and flow in oceans, rivers, lakes, streams, canals, harbours, estuaries, and laboratories.
Visitors to the YSI booth will be particularly interested to see the latest improvements to the most popular YSI product, the 556 Multi Probe System.
The rugged quality of the 556 has made it the instrument of choice for many.
It has proved itself in a wide variety of applications worldwide, however, YSI has a strong commitment to product innovation and new features are regularly supplied as standard.
For example, the 556 now comes with the ability to display graphs of recorded data on the unit's built in screen.
The dissolved oxygen sensor is popular with its easy-to-use, screw-on cap, and is now available with advanced PE membranes for faster response times and lower stirring dependence.
YSI have also recently launched an extended deployment system (EDS) for some of its sondes.
These include the Clean Sweep self-cleaning wiper system that improves accuracy and extends deployment time in even the harshest of environments.
Richard Acornley from the UK Environment Agency evaluated the EDS in a heavy fouling application, reporting: "the traditional DO sensor membrane was visibly fouled after 15 to 20 days of deployment whereas the EDS was effective at keeping the DO sensor visibly clean for at least 73 days".
Experts will be on hand at the YSI Pollutec booth to give advice on water quality and hydrology monitoring, and all visitors' business cards will go into a daily draw for USB memory stick prizes.
