YSI Hydrodata will run a Workshop at WWEM on Wednesday 1st November at 12 noon entitled 'Monitoring the Water Column in a London Reservoir to Improve Intake Quality' The presentation will describe the new YSI Profiler and discuss the advantages that have been gained through its deployment in reservoirs

The case study will be presented describing the benefits that have been gained following the installation of a Profiler at the Thames Water Queen Mother Reservoir near London Heathrow Airport.

The monitoring system is able to move through the entire water column taking and recording water quality measurements automatically, thereby helping to improve water management decisions.

YSI has launched three new Profilers - buoy mounted, pontoon mounted or fixed-site.

Each of these is able to take measurements at user-defined intervals throughout a water column up to a maximum depth of 100 metres, recording at minimum intervals of 0.5m.

The Profilers are able to interface with any of the YSI multiparameter 6-series measurement sondes and as such offer the opportunity to record a wide variety of water quality parameters.

The YSI Hydrodata stand (stand 51) at WWEM, on 1st and 2nd November, will also feature the latest technologies for water quality, level and flow data collection.
