Sieger Searchline Excel open path gas detection system from Zellweger Analytics has achieved independent hazardous area and performance approval from Factory Mutual (FM) Only products and services that meet FM rigorous testing standards may bear the FM Approved mark, a visual symbol of excellence that is widely recognised
Excel is the first open path gas detector in the world to achieve the standard.
Testing included preconditioning (temperature and vibration), gas detection performance, tests on the accuracy and range of the optical path, environmental effects and electrical tests.
In addition, Excel was tested to supplementary simulated fog/mist and partial obscuration tests developed especially to test the unique features of this product.
